When submitting your own artwork to us, please make sure that it conforms to the guidelines set out below. If you don't want the hassle of checking and making adjustments to your files, or have no idea what we mean by 'dpi', 'bleed', or 'CMYK', then we are happy to optimise your files for print, for a small charge.
Please submit your artwork in either PDF, AI, TIF or JPG format, at the correct size required for the finished product, including necessary bleed. Please contact us if you would like conversions from other filetypes. Where the product will have finishes on specific pages (eg. one side gloss business cards) please specify which page you would like the finish on.
Your screen displays images as a mixture of RGB colours (red, green and blue). The print process prints all artwork as a mixture of CMYK colours (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black). Your files must be in CMYK colour mode, as some colours can only be represented by RGB, and cannot be replicated by the CMYK process. Creating your files in CMYK colour mode will ensure that the colours you select are in the range of the print process. If complete colour accuracy is required, it is advised to request a proof. If we need to convert the colour mode of your files, this may result in deviations of colour.
Where you want your finished artwork to touch the edges of the page, add a minimum of 2mm bleed.
Artwork should be supplied at a minimum resolution of 300dpi at the size it is to be printed. The higher the resolution, the better the quality of print.
Important parts of your artwork must be placed a minimum of 3mm away from the edges of the page, to ensure they are not lost during the trimming process. This includes descenders (parts of letters that extend below the rest of the text, eg. lowercase 'p' has a descender).
It is advised to check all wording and content thoroughly, as we cannot accept responsibility for any errors in the files that you send to us. It is advised to make sure you have permission to reproduce all content included in the files you send to us, as we cannot accept responsibility for any infringement of copyrights.
All prices quoted exclude delivery and VAT at the prevailing rate, and are valid for seven days.
We can supply digital proofs for you to get a good idea of how the files will look in terms of size and layout. The colours of the digital proofs are reasonably accurate, but we cannot guarantee exact matches between the proof and the printed product.
Any artwork sent to print must be correctly optimised. If your files need any adjustments, you can make these, and resubmit, or we are happy to optimise your files for print, for a small charge. If upon receipt of proofs you would like changes made to your files, you can make these, and resubmit, or we are happy to make these adjustments, for a small charge.
Please send your artwork to studio@possage.com, or on a CD to:
