If you are submitting your own artwork to us, you are confirming that it conforms to our print guidelines:

print guidelines

Any artwork sent to print must be correctly optimised. If our initial checks show your files need adjustments, you can make these and resubmit, or we are happy to optimise your files for a small charge - great if you have no idea what we mean by 'dpi', 'bleed', or 'CMYK', or just don't want the hassle!

  • format

Artwork must be submitted at the size required for the finished product, including bleed. Accepted formats are PDF, AI, INDD, EPS, QXD, TIF and JPG. Contact us if you would like templates or file conversions.

  • colour mode

Your files must be in CMYK colour mode, as some colours can only be represented by RGB, and cannot be replicated by the CMYK process.

  • resolution

Artwork should be supplied at a minimum resolution of 300dpi at the size it is to be printed. The higher the resolution, the better the quality of print.

  • details

Important details must be placed a minimum of 3mm away from the edges of the page, to ensure they are not lost during the trimming process.

  • images

All images should be embedded into the file.

  • typefaces

All typefaces used should be converted to paths.

  • bleed

Unless specified, add 2mm bleed to your artwork, enabling graphics to touch the edges of the page.

  • content

Check all content thoroughly, as we cannot accept responsibility for any errors in files you send to us.

  • copyright

Make sure you have permission to reproduce all content included in the files you send to us, as we cannot accept responsibility for any infringement of copyrights.

  • submission

Please send your artwork to, or Possage Design and Print, The Old School, Old Road, Shipston-on-Stour, Warwickshire, CV36 4HE

  • proofs

We supply digital proofs for a good idea of how your files will look in terms of layout. Please check these thoroughly, as they are exactly what will be printed.

  • colour matching

We cannot guarantee exact matches between the proof and the printed product - if complete colour accuracy is required, it is advised to request a wet proof, or use Pantone colour matching.

  • quantities

The print process means that all printing companies have a margin of error of +/-10% for every job.

  • quotes

All prices quoted exclude delivery and VAT at the prevailing rate, and are valid for seven days.
